K5 is awesome
I'm new to Kayaking, so my rating isn't based on a professional opinion, but rather on the little things that matter to everyone. At the top of the list for me is convenience and the K5 gets 6 stars (******) on that. I'm 5'-11' tall, and find it to be a perfect fit. The longest time I have been out on the kayak in one day has been about 6 hours and I have no complaints about any discomfort. Originally, I doubted the 5 minutes from backpack-to-kayak claim, but I've done it on numerous occasions, though most of the times, I'm in no rush, but even then it hasn't been more than 10 minutes. Some days, I have gone kayaking twice, and thanks to the convenient/easy-setup, I didn't think twice about setting up "again".

The only complaint I have is that it is too cold here in December-March to be out, and Sevylor if you can do anything to fix that, I'd be extremely grateful. All-in-all, it is the best $300 I have spent in a long time.

k5
I am leaving this review because I have noticed several people complaining of the leg room, & those people were 5'5" - 5'8" ish. I find this hard to believe. I am 6'2" & I own this kayak and while it definitely is not a cadillac, I have NO problems fitting in the boat. Again, it is a bit snug but it's a kayak not a yacht. I can stretch my legs out all the way and have no problem zipping the white water cover over my legs. I have spent hours at a time on this kayak & had no pain, cramping, discomfort, etc. My girlfriend is 5'11" and can find plenty of things to complain about in life..leg room on the k5 has not been one.

It really is a great kayak. Everyone's always super impressed with it. They always tell me, "I really want a kayak but don't have a place to store it or a way to transport it." The k5 solves both issues. I travel all the time & often go to remote places. I can take this bad boy w/me anywhere I go, including flights.

Only complaint...drying completely takes effort

Good for beginners
This is a well priced model that has much improved engineering over past Sevylor models. The valves work much better (although the included pump is not top quality and should contain a pressure gauge), it is simple to re-pack the kayak (I never thought it would fit into the pack after taking it out the first time), and it tracks pretty well on calm waters. I am 6 foot and feel that there is ample leg room (wouldn't want to be much taller though). Only downfall is lack of hydration pack chambers as in past fastback model. Great for someone beginning to paddle.

Fisherman
My overall feeling about the Sevylor QuikPak™ K5 Kayak is a nice inexpensive inflatable for someone under 5’5”. I primarily fish from it and it works great as a fishing platform. I would recommend it for anyone under 5’5”. I rated the craft as average only because of the interior leg room (It’s Good).
Pros: Very easy to assemble, lightweight, tracks good for an inflatable (paddled only in fresh water so far), repaired pretty good (has held up for three, eight hour trips after the repair so far? a small hole on the side tube was the issue), Spray Skirt is great, a very comfortable backrest.
Cons: Very limited leg room, I’m 5’9” and it is a very tight fit (I guess the photo of the female paddling on the stream with the mountains in the background should have been a clue) I have more of a problem with the interior length than the width, the pump that comes with the system does not create a very good seal at times, after my last use I noticed a slit on the floor valve (must repair?)

just ok....
Some good things: the boat tracks nice in flat water, comfortable seat, removable spray skirt, packs easily.
The bad stuff: no leg room AT ALL, minimal storage, kinda mushy feeling in the water, valve setup is a pain.

Just didn't like this boat overall... the seat, for a kayak, is really nice. BUT the leg room is terrible. I am only 5'8" so leg room shouldn't be an issue for me but I found it hard to zipper the spray skirt because of my knees sitting so high.
